Our Yachtmaster Fast Track comprises all of the above options in a concentrated timescale. The school principal, Ken Campling, FRIN RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Ocean Instructor, a professional navigator and radar specialist, is a mature and experienced instructor, who has been involved in sailing for all of his adult life and still retains a sense of humour! He will tailor tuition to fit the needs of the individual so that you can learn at a pace that suits you.
HOBO YACHTING is based at Southampton’s Ocean Village Marina close to the railway station and motorway and is ideally placed to offer either a Day Sailing Experience or RYA Practical and Shorebased Courses. It is also an ideal location to offer our Yachtmaster Fast Track. The cruising area can be in the sheltered waters of the Solent for the RYA Yachtmaster scheme with its Practical Sailing Courses for RYA Start Yachting, RYA Competent Crew, RYA Day Skipper and RYA Coastal Skipper, or the busy waters of the English Channel and the French Coast for those wishing to experience a Cross Channel Passage or Long Distance Passage to build up seamiles. HOBO YACHTING also cruise extensively along the Atlantic coast of France and offer RYA Sailing Courses and Sailing Vacations in the beautiful Channel Islands.
HOBO YACHTING sails regularly throughout the year, however, March to October is a particularly popular period and dates, especially bank holidays, are booked several months in advance – presumably because of the personal service on offer!
